4 Steps to Ensuring You Create Your Desired Outcome

Yesterday I talked about the importance of starting with the end in mind. Do you want to read the previous post in this series? Just go to http://tinyurl.com/d2epzs
Here are the four steps to make sure you end up exactly where you want to be.
Step 1. Get Clear About Your Intention
Getting clear about your intention is like creating that big “why?” Why should you do this? Knowing the why means you will be more motivated to make it happen. What do you really want to have happen? How do you want to feel? How do you want your audience to feel? How do you want the event producer to feel? What is the win-win outcome for everyone? How much money will you make?
Step 2. Identify your Success Measurement
What is the measure for your success? Is it a revenue goal, number of new clients, a percentage of purchasers, or whether or not you get a standing ovation? Setting concrete performance goals will allow you to evaluate what works – and what doesn’t. Without a measure of success, how will you know if you have achieved your desired outcome?
Step 3. Create your Evidence Procedure
The evidence procedure, part of the CREATE goal formula from The Unstoppable Goals Method, is based on the NLP style of goal achievement. Creating an evidence procedure means you create a vivid image and feeling of how you will know you achieved your desired outcome. The story I told you in the beginning of this section is a type of evidence procedure. This is one of the most powerful steps in goal setting that truly sets it apart from traditional goal setting programs that “talk about the goal” versus actually GETTING THE GOAL DONE! It ties into the Law of Attraction which simply stated means that a clear vision can be created where as a foggy vision just creates more fog. If you aren’t clear about what you want then that is what you get more of.
Step 4. Put your Intention Out Into the Future
This step is by far one of the most powerful ways to ensure your goal is unstoppable. The way this works is that by going into a visualization exercise, you imagine yourself out in the future at the time you have completed your goal. You see yourself in that situation, and visualize your evidence procedure. It’s important to allow yourself to feel the feelings and get into the emotional state you will be in when you “nail” this goal. When you visualize the evidence procedure with feeling you tie in the passion and excitement. Intense positive feelings act like a powerful magnet that makes the goal completely unstoppable.
As I plan for each event I create my desired outcome and set up my Event Intention Forms. You can formulate your own. I also do this step with my event staff at the event the evening prior. If it’s just me and I don’t have my team with me I will often sit in the back of the room and visualize myself energetically creating a powerful experience for every person in the room. I will see their faces beaming, I will know that everything they need to hear is being heard and I imagine the room filled with power and passion.
I will literally create the entire experience in my mind and see it playing out in that room.
I’m not sure how or why it works exactly. But what I do know is that somehow I feel totally and completely connected to everyone in that room and I know they are getting what they need from me – however that experience shows up.
